The Declaration
THE DECLARATION OF FAME
When your singular passion in life is that the name of Jesus be made famous, this is how you see the world…
1. We do not seek the spotlight or the limelight 2 Corinthians 4:5-6; Luke 17:7-10; Philippians 2:3-11. We seek One Light and this Light has only one description: The Light Isaiah 49:6; Psalm 27:1; Psalm 36:9; Psalm 43:3; John 1:5-9; John 8:12; 1 John 1:5-7; Revelation 21:22-25; Revelation 22:5.
2. We realize that the world has nothing to offer Mark 8:36 and God stands with His mighty hand open Psalm 104:28, Psalm 145:16 having everything to give James 1:17, Romans 8:31-32.
3. Only the glory of God will leave us in awe Psalm 22:23, Psalm 33:8, Habakkuk 3:2, Romans 11:20, Hebrews 12:28.
4. The pleasures of this world are fading Hebrews 11:24-26; 1 John 2:15-17 faster than we are James 1:9-11; James 4:13-14; Psalm 90:10; Isaiah 40:6-8 therefore we lay hold to the Never Ending Isaiah 40:28; Psalm 90:1-2; Revelation 1:8; 17-18.
5. Christ is not a game. He is not an addition. He is not an afterthought. He is our life Colossians 3:3-4; Galatians 2:20; Galatians 6:14.
6. We will not modify the message of Jesus 2 Corinthians 4:2, Galatians 1:6-10 because the Creator is always relevant to His creation Genesis 1:27, Hebrews 4:12-13.
7. The Unchanging does not change therefore we rejoice in confidence Psalm 102:25-27; Hebrews 13:8; Malachi 3:6; Isaiah 46:9-11; Habakkuk 3:17-19.
8. We do not preach a message of self-improvement or self-esteem or self-actualization. The message we preach is Jesus Christ crucified 1 Corinthians 2:1-2, the Conqueror of death 1 Corinthians 15:14; 54-57, Hebrews 2:14-15, Revelation 1:18 and our hearts 1 John 3:19-22 and is seated on the throne Hebrews 1:3; 8:1 of Heaven ready to return Hebrews 9:28; Revelation 22:7; 12, 20.
9. We may be criticized for being too serious. We may be put down for loving Scripture. We may be deemed fanatical for our passionate obsession for Jesus. We may be overlooked for being too narrow-minded in truth and we may be killed for our association with the name of Jesus but we will never be forsaken or separated from the love that is in Jesus Romans 8:35-39 and we gladly welcome 80 years of suffering on earth because it pales in comparison to 80 billion infinities of years of no condemnation in Heaven Matthew 5:10-12, Romans 8:1, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18.
10. We want the truth whatever it costs us John 17:17, 1 Timothy 3:1-8; 4:3-4.
