Small Groups
All students are encouraged to join a small group. These small groups provide a unique context for students to surround themselves with older and younger godly men and women. Our small groups are intergenerational and help us fight against ageism (the separating of ages to our corporate harm). We come together in these groups for mutual accountability and encouragement, to exercise our spiritual gifts and spur one another on to Christ-likeness. These small groups are invaluable to the spiritual progress of our students, our families and our church body as a whole.
Proverbs 13:20 is great motivation for all students to be involved in these groups “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.”
App Night
Once a month, during the Afterglow, we get together as students and leaders to rehearse and apply the messages we have heard throughout the past month. We also spend time encouraging one another, praying for one another, and asking for wisdom on personal issues. Our desire is to be more like our Master and this time serves us in the process of sanctification. We are called to not only be hearers of the word but doers and such is our desire in this time.

What? We will be reading a book entitled “A Faith Worth Sharing: A Lifetime of Conversations About Christ” by C. John Miller. This book will supplement our series at Resound on missional living and will help us see how evangelism doesn’t simply intersect with real life but is real life in Christ lived out to the glory of God. You’ll love this book and it will be an easy and insightful read.
